Paid to search: MyHPF vs Scour

MyHPF.co.uk

MyHPF (http://www.myhpf.co.uk) is new address for MySearchFunds. Until now, MyHPF has change the search engine three times. First, they use Ask.com then Google.com and now they use Yahoo.com. Personally, I like MyHPF better when they use Google because I do lots of Google-ing more than Yahoo-ing. They pay approximately £0,01 per search. And they have three level of referral. It’s mean you will get paid for every friend you referred and
also from everyone that your friend refer. If you have many friends, your earning will piled up faster. Unfortunately, they have high payout level. Current pay out is £20. It will takes times for one man show. Payment will be made through PayPal.
Positive value:
  • 3 level of referrals
  • High pay per search rate. About £0.01 per search
  • Paying with £ which has better value than US Dollar
  • All country allowed
  • Integrated searchbar for Internet Explorer and Firefox
  • Payment option: PayPal, Check and International Bank Transfer (IBAN)
Negative value:
  • Payout is quite high. £20
  • Delayed statistic page. User must wait (min. 1 day) to see updated statistic

Scour.com

Scour.com just launch its service last July. It’s still in beta. With Scour,
you can search Google, Yahoo and MSN at once and have the result in one page. I like the concepts that they have combine result from 3 major search engine and user can vote or make comment to result page. This will be nice addition for search engine result. We have human reviewed. Although it has good feature, I think Scour need to protect their vote/comment system from spams and trash comments. It will be pity if the systems can be easily abused by spammy dollar-seeker.
With scour, every activities (search-vote-comment) are counted with points. When user has reached their minimum payout, points can be exchange with Visa Gift Card.
